How Does It Work?
Argireline is designed to mimic part of a protein called SNAP-25, which plays a key role in releasing the chemical messenger that tells facial muscles to contract. Botox works on a related process, but through injection directly into muscle. Argireline is proposed to work the same way at the surface level, competing for the same molecular machinery so that muscle contraction, and the expression lines it causes, is slightly reduced.
